Made to the highest standards in Germany. Delta Membranes are the market leaders in providing materials to meet the needs of the structural water-proofing industry where a Type 'C' insulation is specified.
In addition to this these membranes are also very useful when it is essential to fast track reinstatement following a flood or to upgrade a floor constructed without a built in membrane. There are many other uses which we will try to mention as each membrane is described.
Delta MS500
(8mm Membrane)
The workhorse of the range for Type 'C' installations. This can be curtain hung onto ground retaining walls or damp contaminated walls. It is also best to stabilise the wall surface before the membrane in installed. Is using a curtain hung system the a free standing dry-lining structure (Timber or metal) has to be used and must incorporate a vapour check. It is important to note that services must be on the dry side of the membrane in all instances. For more technical information, click here.
Delta MS500 lined
The same material is installed to the wall except that Delta Flexi-Fix plugs are set at 400mm or 600mm centres. These fixing plugs accept a secondary fixing so that timber battens can be installed, then the required finishes fixed. A common specification is plywood then foil backed Plasterboard. It is important to note that services must be on the dry side of the membrane in all instances. For more technical information, click here.
Delta MS500 Floors
Above ground, this membrane can be used to upgrade  an existing concrete floor. We have to remove the skirtings and chop the plaster off to a height of about 75mm. If the floor is not level, then a very high quality self leveller can be used. The self leveller has to be stable in wet conditions. the best we have found for this purpose is Koster S L Premium. Once the membrane is laid, Tongue and Grooved chipboard can be installed and joints glued. No fixings area allowed through the membrane. Insulation can be installed before the chipboard if required. Tongue and grooved plywood can be used but Delta prefer chipboard because it is heavier. For more technical information, click here.
Delta Plastering Membrane
(8mm,7mm and 4mm)
Designed to provide a direct plastering option. The membranes are secured with Delta P T Ultra Fix plugs set at 225mm centres. This system is for both Structural Waterproof (Type 'C') works or above ground contracts where damp or wall contamination is present. For more technical information, click here.
Type 'C' Water Proofing
Delta MS500 can be used on floors as a Type 'C' Structural Waterproofing System. However, the substrate has to receive lime control and if water ingress is anticipated, then drainage has to be incorporated by either Gullies, Delta Channels set in the concrete or a sacrificial screed taken to an outlet.
Delta MS20
(20mm Membrane)
The highest water capacity membrane produced. This membrane is mainly used for floors as part of a Type 'C' Structural Waterproofing System. However, suitable provision for drainage has to be incorporated together with the essential Lime Control. This membrane is linked to the wall membrane using Delta Corner Joint Tape.
Delta F M
( 5mm Membrane)
Principally designed to upgrade floors controlling damp either as a result of a flood or inherent in the structure. Overlaid with Tongue and Grooved chipboard. Insulation can be installed first. For more technical information, click here.
